The Sumitra Foundation, led by philanthropists, has made a commitment to provide quality education in the country. In order to give concrete shape to its benevolent ideas, the foundation has established Mahatma Gandhi College of law (MGCL), in the year 1999, the first in a series of education institutions in various professional disciplines, such as Engineering, Information Technology, Madicine, Mass Communication, Languages, Arts and Music. Activities
The college encourages its staff and students to present and publish research papers & journals on law and other associated Disciplines. Work is currently on to publish a rural law reporter. Books relevant to the three year and five year law courses are also being planned for publication as a joint effort between the authors and MGCL the college publishes advanced reading material for various subjects to the course of study. Besides, a periodical named Vidhi Vakta and a newspaper named Spark are also currently being published by the college.
