Publication Of Journals And Text Books On Law

The college encourages its staff and students to present and publish research papers & journals on law and other associated Disciplines. Work is currently on to publish a rural law reporter. Books relevant to the three year and five year law courses are also being planned for publication as a joint effort between the authors and MGCL the college publishes advanced reading material for various subjects to the course of study. Besides, a periodical named Vidhi Vakta and a newspaper named Spark are also currently being published by the college.

Co-Curricular Activities

MGCL has designed a Special Interaction Programme (SIP) to transform Legal Education into holistic and meaningful, mainstream Education.

(i) IDG (Informal Discussion Group) - IDG provides platform for the convergence of the learned and the learners. The programme involves continuous and close interaction of the faculty and the students with eminent personalities representing the allied wings of law, such as judges, lawyers, solicitors, researchers, diplomats, academicians & parliamentarians. IDG is scheduled to be held every month. prominent personalities who visited last year include : Mr. B. Shukla (Ex- Minister for Higher Education, govt. of MP), Mr. Justice R.B.Dixit (Judge, High Court of MP), prof. J.K. Mittal (Research Professor, Indian Law Institute), Mr. A Khandelwal (Governor Schools, London), Mr.V.S. Tomar (Former Principal, IB Training Institute) Mr. R. Sharma (Recipient of 6 President's Medals), Mr. P.S. Pallaiya (Mayor of Gwalior) and, last but not the least, Mr. Narendra Tomar (MLA, Gwalior).

(ii) GDS (Group Discussion Session)

(iii) Student Lectures - Student Lectures in the classroom will be frequently conducted to test the grasping ability of students and also to train them in fluent speech and enhance their ability for extempore presentation.

(iv) Celebration of Important Days : Labour Day. Human Rights Day, Women's Day, Enviromantal Day etc.


Extra-Curriculer Activities

SPORTS

A multi- specialty sports complex is being constructed in the new campus. an area of 4.5 acres has been earmarked for this purpose. the complex will be equipped with multi-gym facilities, tennis court, basket ball court, Cricket etc. students will be trained in various sports/games by a qualified sports intructor of the college and participation in inter & intra College has successfully hosted and organized a District level open chess tournament and plans to organized more surh tournaments in the coming years. Several students participated at National & Inter-University levels in the past year and excelled in their events, Securing Medals & Awards and Bringing Laurels to the College.

NSS

Two Units of NSS exist in the MGCL.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The Annnual Calender of the college will consist of :
Annual College Competitions & Annual College Festival.
Dancer / Dramatics / Music events and cultural activities of the University

SCOUTS & GUIDES

Under the aegis of S&G, two teams have been created : Durga Rangers Team and Jai Rovers Cew. They Regularly take part in the activities of Scouts & Guides.
